The Semi Crunchy Mama® Club is designed as a brave space to learn and grow together. None of us actually know what we’re doing as parents; we’re just figuring it out as we go. (If you actually do, please tell me your secrets, thanks!) This group is for the crunchy, semi-crunchy, or crunchy-curious who are interested in raising awesome humans as well as we can.

I run this group as a community for my business which offers coaching, classes, and workshops to parents. You are not required to buy anything on top of your membership, but there will be additional paid offerings on occasion.

This group has a gentle/respectful/attachment parenting foundation, so even if you don’t follow those methods yourself, be aware that you’ll get some pushback on some non-gentle approaches. Many people breastfeed, babywear, cloth diaper, have dietary restrictions, are against cry-it-out or early sleep training, and have interest in various holistic approaches. You don't have to, but it will come up.

A few nonnegotiable rules to be aware of before you join:
:: BE KIND. We don’t have to agree, but we can always be kind. Sharing your experience is great. Telling someone they have to do something one way, judging, or shaming them? No, thanks. The goal is to have a brave space for people to share honestly. Let’s meet everyone where they are.

:: BE INCLUSIVE. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and other harmful commentary is not acceptable. Honest mistakes result in education. Doubling down results in the boot.

:: NO PROMOTIONS. This includes selling products or services, recruiting people into buying clubs who have not explicitly asked, promoting online or in-person events, etc. This includes in the comments. Other than our monthly Small Business Saturday thread to support each other, that is NOT the purpose of this group. If you’re joining to network or market, this group isn’t for you.

:: This group is GLOBAL. There’s a heavy concentration of members in San Diego because that’s where I live, but asking for local recommendations excludes over half the group. There are many local groups available, so please post those questions elsewhere so everyone can find the group useful.

:: VACCINES ARE NOT THE FOCUS OF THIS GROUP. There are personally vaccine-injured members of the group, as well as health care practitioners who give vaccines, and epidemiologists who study them. Do your own research or find groups that align with your worldview, because this is not the place for it.

:: VEGAS RULES! No screenshots or drama from other groups, please. Let’s focus on problem-solving like adults, healthy boundaries, and respect. If you need help with that, that’s my actual job description, so schedule a call with me.
